SMEs are failing to link together their communications
Businesses are missing a trick and it’s not just about saving money. There’s a clear opportunity to improve processes and employee mobility. It is vital that IT leaders should grasp the opportunity and embrace the tools and systems that enable a more flexible and productive approach to work.
Despite large numbers of IT leaders having heard of converged communications, they point to a number of barriers to adoption that appear to be limiting investment.
However many of the IT leaders that have invested, report benefits including cost savings, improved business continuity, customer service and the enablement of flexible working.
The main problem we find is that businesses are cautious about changes to contracts due to potential upheaval, but in reality, the disruption caused by converging business communications is minimal. Converging It and telephony solutions could be a quick win for SMEs who are looking to both reduce their costs and capitalise on the opportunities of a work anywhere culture.
Following years of listening to our customers’ communication challenges and having worked for a variety of tier-one industry partners, the founding team here at Silver Lining realised that shopping around for suppliers is a hassle. UK businesses would rather source their IT and telecommunication solutions through a single vendor that tracks down the best deals so they don’t have to. Fortunately, that’s exactly what we do. We call it “convergence”!
