SMB Account Manager
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 a year + commission
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
We are currently looking for an SMB Account Manager to join our Sales team. Silver Lining is a professional IT service provider based in Fareham. As an SMB Account Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities from leads passed on to you, and generated yourself. Once you have established a relationship with the new business you will take on full responsibility of this client account.
This position will be mainly internal but you may be required to attend offsite meetings to present business opportunities and manage our key clients.
⦁ Achieve or exceed set monthly targets as defined within your contract or advised to you by your line manager
⦁ Maintain talk time with the key decision makers within a business within department guidelines
⦁ Use sales skills to convert prospects/leads into active spending accounts
⦁ Deliver the company ethos and branding
⦁ Completing administration work, as required
⦁ Prospect new business and manage assigned accounts on a daily basis.
⦁ To provide continuity of account management to customers as assigned, by engaging with them from the point of pre-sales right through project delivery and account management.
⦁ Managing the accounts will include responding to customer requests for quotations, pro-actively managing the account to identify new opportunities, hold service review meetings with the client either at regular intervals or dynamically depending on the client and business need.
⦁ Where appropriate, supporting colleagues in the sales team as and when required
⦁ On a daily basis, you will be working as a team member within the business engaging with customer operations, technical operations and the business directors.
The ideal candidate:
⦁ Will have at least 12 months’ previous experience in sales
⦁ Will have successfully created new business opportunities
⦁ Have strong communication skills
⦁ Understanding of IT and Telecommunications
⦁ Will have worked to achieve targets on a regular basis
⦁ Be confident using all MS packages
⦁ Good time management
⦁ 20 days’ holiday per annum + bank holidays (You will also receive one extra day holiday per year of service up to 25 days)
